Welcome back to our Culture Corner series! In Part 1, we explored why AI isn't here to replace HR professionals but to amplify what makes us incredible at building cultures and supporting teams.
The Current State of AI in HR (We're Just Getting Started)
Let me share some data that might surprise you. According to recent industry research, the AI adoption curve in HR is fascinating - and way more varied than you might expect:
The "Oh Snap, I'm Already Using AI" Category:
- Currently, more than half (51%) of companies are leveraging AI technology in their hiring processes (Resume Builder).
- 45% use AI writing assistance for job descriptions and communications - Thank you, ChatGPT revolution (McKinsey State of AI 2024)
- 35% leverage employee sentiment analysis through existing platforms like Microsoft Viva or similar tools (Deloitte Global Human Capital Trends 2024)
- 28% use AI for interview preparation and question generation (PwC 25th Annual Global CEO Survey)
The "I Had No Idea This Was Possible" Category:
- Only 15% use AI for predictive retention analytics. This is where the real magic happens, folks
- Just 12% have AI helping with succession planning. Talk about untapped potential
- A mere 8% use AI for team composition optimization. The bleeding edge of HR tech and something in general weāre doubling down here at Confetti
Here's what's fascinating: the professionals getting the most value aren't necessarily the most tech-savvy. They're the ones who understand that AI is just a really, really smart intern who never needs coffee breaks and doesn't judge your music choices.
So If you like where this is heading, stay tuned for Part 3 where weāll talk about āWhy HR Professionals Are Uniquely Positioned to Win with AI.ā As I said in my last blog, I donāt know if it will be this series or just now a forever-topic, but Iāll continue to share all the ways AI can amplify what makes HR professionals incredible at their jobs.
P.S. Manifesting 10,000 LinkedIn followers before the year ends. Thatās rightāten thousand. Why? Because growth isnāt just for startups, its for us!
