In a lecture-style setting, uncover hidden backstories and discover little known facts about popular Asian American Pacific Islander art installations through pictures and incredible storytelling. Participants will explore:
- The history and tradition of various mediums, including physical forms of art beyond the canvas like dance, calligraphy, and tattooing
- Contemporary AAPI artists like Zhang Huan, Lee Hong-Jae, and Meleanna Aluli Meyer
- How AAPI art has impacted culture in the United States and the world at large
This class includes Q&A opportunities, giving participants the chance to ask more about AAPI history & culture.
