Can I request a specific host?

We are unable to guarantee certain hosts for Halloween Drag Queen Trivia, as their booking is dependent on availability. Please drop a note in the 'special requests' section when booking, and we'll do our best to make it happen. Either way, we promise you'll have a wonderful experience with any of our vetted hosts!

Is this experience more like trivia or a drag show?

Both! You're playing trivia, but it's hosted by a performer who will make the experience engaging and fun. If there's time, she may even give a surprise performance or fun game at the end. 😉

How does this experience change when it's run as a hybrid event?

Accepted Answer

**Structure of the game:** For the hybrid option, there are only 3 write-in rounds, no buzz-in round.

**Randomized teams:** In-person participants will self-organize into teams! Your host will help explain this on the day of your event. While those in-person folks are organizing themselves, your host will randomly assign any virtual players into teams by using breakout rooms via Zoom. Everyone will play Halloween Drag Queen Trivia together in the same room!

In the event that there aren't enough virtual or in-person participants to form their own team, teams can consist of a mix of both, using their shared communication tool for discussion.

**Tech setup:** For in-office participants, we recommend using a shared projector screen or TV setup, so at least one computer is needed to connect to the Zoom! All participants will need a phone to access the shared communication tool to ‘whisper’ and discuss their answers amongst their team, and team captains will use their phones to submit answers on behalf of their team.

That being said, if folks are in different rooms or simply spread apart enough, teams can omit using their phones to whisper with one another - only the team captain would need their phone to submit answers.

What is the level of difficulty for this game?

Difficulty is subjective! We try to make all of our games fun but the right amount of challenging. Because it is focused on a specific topic, the questions for Halloween Drag Queen Trivia may be slightly more challenging than our classic Drag Queen Trivia game, but players will still be able to make educated guesses.

That being said, it is still a great team building experience, and there’s always the potential for sparkle points!

Is this experience work appropriate and international friendly?

Our games are designed with corporate teams in mind and, based on customer input, we consider this game to be international-friendly! However, we are a U.S.-based team and some questions may require basic knowledge of U.S. pop culture.

Please make sure to enter your group details and any other relevant info in the ‘context for your host’ section of your event briefing after booking. We can’t guarantee content adjustments, but we gladly welcome feedback.

Can I see the list of questions and answers beforehand?

As company policy, we do not provide Halloween Drag Queen Trivia game content for approval ahead of time (and to prevent spoilers!) but rest assured that our games team creates and vets all of the questions for our hosted game experiences. 💪

Question 7

Can we create team names?

Accepted Answer

If selecting 'randomized' for your team assignment, your Halloween Drag Queen Trivia host will split you randomly into teams by sending you to breakout rooms. You will meet your team there and come up with a team name before returning to the main room for gameplay. For the 'choose your teams' option, we provide a sign-up sheet to fill out your players' names and team name ahead of time.

What communication tool do you provide?

For teams that don’t have a shared communication tool, we provide a [web chat alternative](https://tlk.io/). On the day of the event, your host will create and distribute chat links to participants via [Google Sheets](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hFC0hOfa9OJCSdxUlBg46rhIWmdp6PGjofZLUSzg14U/edit#gid=0). No download required!

Please write in the 'shared communication tool' section that you'll need an alternative provided. In addition, let us know if your company has any firewall restrictions or if you are unable to access the links above.

Question 9

What if my team has a hard stop time?

Our Halloween Drag Queen Trivia experience lasts around 60 minutes, but there may be some fluctuations based on introductions, group size, and group dynamics. Our hosts try to keep gameplay as close to schedule as possible. Please let us know if you have a hard stop right at 60 minutes in the ‘special requests’ when booking, as we cannot shorten this experience.

Question 10

How many winners are there? Can we award prizes?

Prizes are **not** included or required. You're welcome to source your own prizes, just keep us posted in 'special requests' so our hosts can announce it. There will be one winning team with between 3-5 players depending on final headcount.

Can this event be recorded? Can a photo be taken?

📸 **Photos / screenshots:** Our hosts always do their best to catch a screenshot at the end of your event. If you would like a photo, feel free to remind your host at the start of your event.

📹 **Video recordings:** This event can be recorded. To ensure a recording is taken, **please request one from your host at the start of your event** - they’re happy to accommodate when asked!
