Virtual Exploring Native American Art

This is not your average art history class...
In a lecture-style setting, uncover hidden backstories and discover little-known facts about popular Native American art installations through pictures and incredible storytelling.
Participants will be introduced to traditional Native art, artifacts, and sculptures from 1000 BCE to the present, including works of aesthetic, religious, and historical significance as well as everyday, functional art. We'll also explore the work of renowned contemporary artists like sculptor and painter Allan Houser, visual artist Steven Paul Judd, and bead artist Martha Berry.
This class includes Q&A opportunities, giving participants the chance to ask more about Indigenous American history & culture.
