Either way, we promise you'll have a wonderful experience with any of our vetted hosts!

How does Trivia work?

Our virtual team trivia game has 4 rounds. For the first 3 write-in rounds, each team will discuss and record their answers on a digital answer sheet provided at the start of the game. For the final lightning round, participants will use a digital buzzer to buzz in and answer on behalf of their team.

How does this experience change when it's run as a hybrid event?

**Structure of the game:** For the hybrid option, there are only 3 write-in rounds, no buzz-in round.

**Randomized teams:** In-person participants will self-organize into teams! Your host will help explain this on the day of your event. While those in-person folks are organizing themselves, your host will randomly assign any virtual players into teams by using breakout rooms via Zoom. Everyone will play Classic Trivia together in the same room!

In the event that there aren't enough virtual or in-person participants to form their own team, teams can consist of a mix of both, using their shared communication tool for discussion.

**Tech setup:** For in-office participants, we recommend using a shared projector screen or TV setup, so at least one computer is needed to connect to the Zoom! All participants will need a phone to 'whisper' to their teammates about their answers and team captains will use their phones to submit answers on behalf of their team.

What is the level of difficulty for this game?

Difficulty is subjective! We try to make all of our games fun but the right amount of challenging.

Trivia is definitely a knowledge-based game. That being said, it is still a great team building experience, and there’s always the potential for sparkle points. 😉

Is this game work appropriate and international friendly?

Our trivia games are designed with corporate teams in mind, and both of our game boards are international friendly!

Please make sure to enter your group details and any other relevant info in the ‘context for your host’ section of your event briefing after booking. We can’t guarantee content adjustments, but we gladly welcome feedback.

Can I see the list of questions and answers beforehand?

As company policy, we do not provide Trivia game content for approval ahead of time (and to prevent spoilers!) but rest assured that our games team creates and vets all of the questions for our hosted game experiences. 💪

Question 7

Can we create team names?

Accepted Answer

Yes! If selecting 'choose your teams' for your team assignment, we provide a sign-up sheet to fill out your players' names and team name ahead of time. If selecting 'randomized' as your team assignment, team names will be decided on the day of the event once teams are created!

What communication tool do you provide?

For teams that don’t have a shared communication tool, we provide a [web chat alternative](https://tlk.io/). On the day of the event, your host will create and distribute chat links to participants via [Google Sheets](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hFC0hOfa9OJCSdxUlBg46rhIWmdp6PGjofZLUSzg14U/edit#gid=0). No download required!

Please make sure to select the chat links option if you need an alternative provided. In addition, let us know if your company has any firewall restrictions or if you are unable to access the links above.

**Note:** We do not provide a shared communication tool for hybrid events.

Question 9

My team has played this game before. Can we book again?

There are three versions of the game so repeat play is possible. If you are booking multiple sessions, let us know if there will be any overlap in attendees so we can prepare the appropriate game materials.

Can this experience be shortened?

Accepted Answer

Classic Trivia lasts around 60 minutes. Our hosts try to keep gameplay as close to schedule as possible, but there may be some fluctuations based on introductions, group size, and group dynamics.

Please note that some content will have to be omitted for a shorter duration. In addition, we cannot accommodate any price adjustments.

How many winners are there? Can we award prizes?
