Why can’t this experience be done in a hybrid setting?

Accepted Answer

Our **remote-only** experiences are designed to be played by participants on individual devices in separate spaces. Each participant will need their own device to utilize features necessary to gameplay such as breakout rooms, the chat box, turning individual cameras on and off, etc.

If participants are not fully remote for this experience, your host will have to pivot to our **fun and interactive** Speed Puzzler game since we will not be able to run the event as intended. What holiday does this celebrate?

Accepted Answer

Our Holiday Games, including Winter Mini Games, are not specific to one holiday in particular and include multiple winter holidays that celebrate the festive time of year (e.g. Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa). They do not skew more towards one than the other and do not include religious undertones at all.

Additionally, our Holiday and Winter themes are globally-friendly! Inclusivity is important to us and we ensure that it is a part of all of our offerings.

We have played Winter Mini Games before. Can we play again?

You can play again, but we only have one version of Winter Mini Games. We recommend trying out another one of our [Holiday Party](https://www.withconfetti.com/collection/holiday) experiences for some variety and fun for the whole team!

Can I request a specific host?

We are unable to guarantee certain hosts for Winter Mini Games, as their booking is dependent on availability. Either way, we promise you'll have a wonderful experience with any of our vetted hosts!

How is the game hosted?

Accepted Answer

Winter Mini Games comes facilitated with a **Confetti game organizer**, who will create and host the Zoom meeting for you — free of charge! This is to ensure a seamless game experience and to take as many hosting duties off your plate as possible.

At the start of your event, your game organizer will go over the instructions and rules of the game. From there, players will be delegated into breakout rooms where they will play the game! Your game organizer will remain in the main Zoom room throughout the experience in case anyone has questions or troubleshooting needs.

At the end of the experience, your game organizer will bring everyone back together in the main room, pass off hosting rights to a member of your party, and hop off the call so your group can hang out!

Is this game work appropriate and international friendly?

Our games are designed with corporate teams in mind and, based on customer input, we consider these winter and holiday brain teasers to be international-friendly! However, we are a U.S.-based team and some questions may require basic knowledge of U.S. pop culture.

Please make sure to enter your group details and any other relevant info in the ‘context for your host’ section of your event briefing after booking. We can’t guarantee content adjustments, but we gladly welcome feedback.

Question 7

Is this game suitable for all age groups?

Our Mini Games are fun for all ages. While familiarity with the topic is helpful, it is not essential to participation. Rounds vary in difficulty so everyone should have a chance to showcase their knowledge and shine!

What if my team does not have access to Google Drive?

Accepted Answer

For teams that don’t have access, we will provide materials via the Zoom chat. **Please enable the Google Drive Alternative option in your booking preferences, if needed.**

Can we create team names?

Teams are not able to create names since they are generated randomly within the game.

Question 10

Can we have teams of more than 5 people?

Accepted Answer

Each game can accommodate **a maximum of 5 participants**. We've found that teams larger than 5 aren't able to collaborate effectively to solve the puzzles since there are so many people in one Zoom room. If you have multiple teams, all groups will play Winter Mini Games at the same time.

Can we re-randomize teams throughout the game?

Due to the structure and duration of Winter Mini Games, we are unable to re-randomize teams during the game.

Question 12

Will participants run into any issues if they join late?

Accepted Answer

Latecomers will have no problem accessing game links so long as their team doesn't go over the 5 person maximum per game link. They'll simply be brought to wherever the rest of their team is on their Winter Mini Games! (So if they're late and their team has already started, they will miss whichever parts of the holiday brain teasers their team has completed.)

You can always give 5-10 min of wiggle room for people to enter the main room of Zoom and have everyone do the 'icebreaker' found on your games sheet.

Can we skip questions?

Participants are not able to skip from question to question. You will have 30 seconds to enter the correct answer before moving onto the next question. If the timer is up before you are able to complete the question, the game will automatically move onto the next round.

Question 14

Will participants return to the main room once the game is over?

Accepted Answer

Participants will be broken up into teams using breakout rooms, and will play through Winter Mini Games in separate rooms. If you finish the holiday brain teasers early, encourage your team to pop back into the main room to hang out! At the end of the experience, your Confetti Game Organizer will return your team to the main room to wrap up the event.

How many winners are there? Can we award prizes?

Prizes are **not** included or required. There will be one winning team with up to 5 players maximum. The leaderboard highlights the top 3 placing teams overall.

Can the duration of this experience be adjusted?

At this time, we are unable to customize or adjust the duration of Winter Mini Games. The game itself takes about **45 minutes** to play through. For the best experience, we recommend planning for an event that is **60 minutes** long to account for setup, instructions, and gameplay.
