Can this experience be done hybrid?

What holiday does this celebrate?

Accepted Answer

Our Holiday Games, including Winter Holiday Pictionary, are not specific to one holiday in particular and include multiple winter holidays that celebrate the festive time of year (e.g. Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa). They do not skew more towards one than the other and do not include religious undertones at all.

Additionally, our Holiday and Winter themes are globally-friendly! Inclusivity is important to us and we ensure that it is a part of all of our offerings.

Question 3

How is the game hosted?

Winter Pictionary comes facilitated with a **Confetti game organizer**, who will create and host the Zoom meeting for you — free of charge! This is to ensure a seamless game experience and to take as many hosting duties off your plate as possible.

At the designated start time for your event, everyone will gather in the main Zoom room where your game organizer will take some time at the start to go over all instructions and rules of the game. From there, players will be delegated into breakout rooms of **up to 10 players each**, where they will then divide into two smaller teams to go head-to-head and play through the game!

Teams will take turns between drawing & guessing and watching the other team (to make sure there isn’t any cheating going on)! 🔎 Both teams will see the digital whiteboard being drawn on in real-time, and each individual player will always see something on their screen: prompting them to **draw, guess, or referee!**

Your game organizer remains in the main Zoom room throughout the entire experience in case anyone has any questions or troubleshooting needs. At the end of the experience, your game organizer will bring everyone back to the main Zoom room, share the final scores, pass off hosting rights to a member of your party, and hop off the call so your group can hang out further! 🕺

Can I request a specific host?

We are unable to guarantee certain hosts for Winter Pictionary, as their booking is dependent on availability. Please drop a note in the 'special requests' section when booking, and we'll do our best to make it happen. Either way, we promise you'll have a wonderful experience with any of our vetted hosts!

Question 5

Is this experience international friendly?

Accepted Answer

For international participants, we recommend selecting our [default Pictionary game](https://www.withconfetti.com/product/virtual-taboo). If players feel a word is too complicated, they have the option to "skip" and keep the game moving. If this is something you're concerned about, please let us know.

Question 6

What if my team does not have access to Google Drive?

Accepted Answer

If you are able to view this [document](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16WgJxA84wQGWKcLlHBY5rVmoShoYl13gzxPqW3WqF3Y/edit#gid=0), you have access to Google Drive.

For teams that don’t have access, we provide a link tool alternative. On the day of the event, your host will create and distribute links to participants in the Zoom chat. No download required!

Question 7

Why do I need to bring my phone AND computer?

We like to suggest that everyone come prepared with their smart phones and computers ready, as we've found this to be the most seamless way to play Winter Pictionary!

We suggest that players **sign onto Zoom using their computers**, whether it be through the Zoom app or website, and then **access the link [guess.party](https://guess.party/) on their smart phones to play**. This way, players can play the game itself from their phones while running Zoom on their computers, and no one has to toggle between different tabs/screens.

If someone is unable to bring a phone, no worries — **you can still definitely play from a computer only!**

Can we create team names?

Teams are not able to create names since they are generated randomly within the game.

Question 9

Can we have teams of more than 5 people?

Accepted Answer

Each game room can accommodate **a maximum of 10 participants** (2 teams of 5 players each). We've found that teams larger than 5 aren't able to collaborate as effectively since there are so many people in one Zoom room. If you have multiple teams, all teams will play Winter Pictionary at the same time. The event itself can accommodate as many players as you'd like.

Can we re-randomize teams throughout the game?

Due to the structure and duration of winter holiday Pictionary, we are unable to re-randomize teams during the game.

Question 11

How does the drawing feature work?

Accepted Answer

Participants can draw using their mouse, or a tablet and stylus.

For each individual game, we will provide you with a link to a **digital whiteboard**, which everyone will need to have open on their computer in addition to the Zoom. This is where everyone will draw, and watch others draw their Holiday Pictionary clues!

Question 12

Will participants run into any issues if they join late?

Accepted Answer

Latecomers will simply be brought to wherever the rest of their team is in the Pictionary game when they join! So if they're late and their team has already started, they will miss whichever parts of the game their team has already completed. We can always give 5-10 mins of wiggle room for people to enter the Zoom before starting, during which players can go through 'icebreakers' with their team while waiting!

Question 13

Will participants return to the main room once the activity is over?

Accepted Answer

Participants will be broken up into teams using breakout rooms, and will play through Winter Pictionary in these separate rooms. If you finish early, encourage your team to pop back into the main room to hang out! At the end of the experience, your Confetti Game Organizer will return all teams to the main room to wrap up the event.

Can this event be recorded? Can a photo be taken?

📸 **Photos / screenshots:** Our hosts always do their best to catch a screenshot at the end. If you would like a photo, feel free to remind your host at the start of your event.

📹 **Video recordings:** Due to the use of breakout rooms, we are **not** able to record this event. Thanks for your understanding!

Question 15

How many winners are there? Can we award prizes?

Accepted Answer

Prizes are **not** included or required. You're welcome to source your own prizes, just keep us posted in 'special requests' so our hosts can announce it. There will be one winning team with up to 5 players maximum.

While there is a "winner" per breakout room as teams go head-to-head, the leaderboard calculates the highest scoring team from the entire event, highlighting the top 3 teams overall.

Question 16

What if fewer people show up than planned for?

This experience is eligible for [Refundable Attendance](https://www.withconfetti.com/help-center/en/collections/6372743-refundable-attendance-policy). If you would like a refund for participants who did not attend, please reach out to our support team (support@withconfetti.com) within 2 business days after your event to confirm your booking meets the criteria and we’ll refund you with Confetti Credits.

Question 17

Can the duration for this experience be adjusted?

At this time, we are unable to customize or adjust the duration of Winter Holiday Pictionary. The game itself takes about **45 minutes** to play through. For the best experience, we recommend planning for an event that is **60 minutes** long to account for setup, instructions, and gameplay.

If your team has a hard stop that they need to finish playing by, please note this in the ‘special requests’ section while planning so that we can notify your Game Organizer to bring everyone back to the main Zoom room early! Please note: this means that not all teams may be able to finish playing.
