I've played this game before. Can I play again?

Accepted Answer

No, there is only one version of Halloween Escape Quest/One Fright in Fiend-land. If booked, you will be playing through the same game content. We recommend checking out an experience from our [Halloween collection](https://www.withconfetti.com/collection/halloween) instead.

How is the game hosted?

Accepted Answer

Halloween Escape Quest comes facilitated with a **Confetti game organizer**, who will create and host the Zoom meeting for you — free of charge! This is to ensure a seamless game experience and to take as many hosting duties off your plate as possible.

At the start of your event, your game organizer will go over the instructions and rules of the game. From there, players will be delegated into breakout rooms where they will play the game! Your game organizer will remain in the main Zoom room throughout the experience in case anyone has questions or troubleshooting needs.

At the end of the experience, your game organizer will bring everyone back together in the main room, pass off hosting rights to a member of your party, and hop off the call so your group can hang out!

Can I request a specific host?

We are unable to guarantee certain hosts for Halloween Escape Quest, as their booking is dependent on availability. Please drop a note in the 'special requests' section when booking, and we'll do our best to make it happen. Either way, we promise you'll have a wonderful experience with any of our vetted hosts!

How difficult is this quest?

The level of difficulty of our quests is determined by puzzle solving experience. **The Halloween Escape Quest** is best for intermediate escape quest players or those looking for a little Halloween fun. 🎃 For more experienced puzzle-solvers, we recommend checking out **The Secret Society** and **The Haunt on the Hill** on our [Escape Quest](https://www.withconfetti.com/product/virtual-escape-quest) page.

All of our escape quests have been tested! When determining difficulty, we also factor in general escape times as well as puzzle types and the number of steps needed to complete the quest. For the best team experience, we recommend choosing a quest that matches your team’s experience with escape games.

Is this experience work appropriate and international friendly?

The Halloween Escape Quest is international friendly, as we plan for global teams frequently! That being said, we are a U.S. based team and this experience is only offered in English.

Our quests are designed for a corporate environment, so all content is workplace appropriate.

Question 7

What if my team does not have access to Google Drive?

Accepted Answer

If you are able to view this [document](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ujVeyIhPYkWPIT64kiKO715zWdRGR15vcdaiXcsNLqI/edit#gid=0), you have access to Google Drive.

For teams that don’t have access to Google Drive, we provide a link tool alternative. On the day of the event, your host will create and distribute links to participants using [Linktree](https://linktr.ee/). No download required!

Can we create team names?

Teams are not able to create names since they are generated randomly within the game.

Question 9

Can we have teams of more than 5 people?

Accepted Answer

Each game can accommodate **a maximum of 5 participants**. We've found that teams larger than 5 aren't able to collaborate effectively to solve the quest since there are so many people in one Zoom room. If you have multiple teams, all groups will play Halloween Escape Quest at the same time.

Can we re-randomize teams throughout the game?

Due to the structure and duration of Halloween Escape Quest, we are unable to re-randomize teams during the game.

Question 11

Will participants run into any issues if they join late?

Accepted Answer

Latecomers will have no problem accessing game links so long as their team doesn't go over the 5 person maximum per game link. They'll simply be brought to wherever the rest of their team is on Halloween Escape Quest!

You can always give 5-10 min of wiggle room for people to enter the main room of Zoom and have everyone do the 'icebreaker' found on your games sheet.

Question 12

Will participants return to the main room once the game is over?

Accepted Answer

Participants will be broken up into teams using breakout rooms, and will play Halloween Escape Quest in separate rooms. Teams will have 60 minutes to complete the quest.

If you beat the clock, encourage your team to pop back into the main room to hang out! If you haven’t escaped after time runs out, your Confetti Game Organizer will return your team to the main room to wrap up the event.

Question 13

How many winners are there? Can we award prizes?

Prizes are **not** included or required. You're welcome to source your own prizes, just keep us posted in 'special requests' so our hosts can announce it. There will be one winning team with up to 5 players maximum. The leaderboard highlights the top 3 placing teams overall.

Question 14

Can this event be recorded? Can a photo be taken?

📸 **Photos / screenshots:** Our hosts always do their best to catch a screenshot at the end. If you would like a photo, feel free to remind your host at the start of your event.

📹 **Video recordings:** Due to the use of breakout rooms, we are **not** able to record this event. Thanks for your understanding!

Question 15

Can the duration of this experience be adjusted?

Accepted Answer

At this time, we are unable to customize or adjust the duration of the game itself. The quest itself has a timer of **60 minutes**. For the best experience, we recommend planning for an event that is **90 minutes** long to account for setup, instructions, and gameplay.

If your team has a hard stop that they need to finish playing by, please note this in your 'special requests' section while planning so we can notify your Game Organizer!

What if fewer people show up than planned for?

This experience is eligible for [Refundable Attendance](https://www.withconfetti.com/help-center/en/collections/6372743-refundable-attendance-policy). If you would like a refund for participants who did not attend, please reach out to our support team (support@withconfetti.com) within 2 business days after your event to confirm your booking meets the criteria and we’ll refund you with Confetti Credits.
