Virtual Exploring Black Art
Blackness, race, and identity

Look beyond the canvas as we delve into four distinct stories of Black art as social commentary, storyteller, and movement maker.
In a lecture-style setting, participants will gain insight into how the mind of an artist works by learning about the fundamental elements of art. Using that lens, our art & culture guide will uncover the hidden narratives behind stunning works from the past 100 years to present day, addressing today's reality.
Engage with artists you may already know and find new inspiration in hidden gems from the vast and vibrant world of Black art and commemoration!
This class includes Q&A opportunities, giving participants the chance to ask more about Black history & culture.
