๐Ÿ“ฆ Initial & Secondary Orders for Shipped Kits

When youโ€™re planning a Confetti event that includes shipped kits, timing is everything! To make sure everyone gets their package in time, we work with two types of order deadlines: Initial Orders and, when available, Secondary Orders.

โฐ Standard Deadlines

  • Initial Order Deadline

    • This is the first and main deadline for collecting participant addresses.

    • It ensures our vendors have enough time to source materials, pack kits, and ship them out so they arrive at least 3 days before your event.

  • Secondary Order Deadline (if available)

    • Most experiences offer an extension on address collection called a Secondary Order that you can opt into at any point prior to the Secondary Order's deadline (which is 10 business days prior to your event).

    • When your event is opted into a Secondary Order, the deadline is extended, giving your team more time to submit addresses for participants who may have missed the first round.

๐Ÿ”‘ Key Differences Between Initial & Secondary Orders

  • Initial Orders

    • Kits are guaranteed to arrive on time for your event.

    • These shipments are monitored closely, and Confetti will arrange replacements if delays occur.

  • Secondary Orders

    • Kits are still processed and shipped, but on-time delivery is not guaranteed.

    • While vendors and shipping carriers expedite these packages, any delays in shipping will not be covered by Shipping Insurance, meaning Confetti will not proactively address shipping delays if a package is not going to arrive on time.

    • This makes them a great option for late sign-ups, but itโ€™s best to let participants know their kits may arrive closer to, or sometimes even after, the event date.

    • Secondary Orders come at an extra cost of Rushed Processing, which helps vendors quickly source materials, pack kits, and expedite a shipment. Rushed Processing fees vary per experience, and are typically between $30 to $50 per kit.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Insurance & Coverage

  • Initial Order kits are fully covered by Confetti's Shipping Insurance. Secondary Order kits are not fully covered - see our Shipping Insurance page for more information!

  • All Kits: If a kit arrives damaged, spoiled, or is missing items, we will work to replace it entirely or just the missing items โ€” either by reshipping from the original vendor, providing a local backup, or sourcing a similar kit from an alternative supplier.

๐Ÿ™‹ How to Request a Secondary Order

If you missed the Initial Order deadline and your experience supports Secondary Orders, you can request one:

  1. Let our team know youโ€™d like to opt into a Secondary Order.

  2. Confetti will update your booking accordingly, so long as your experience allows for a Secondary Order and the deadline has not passed.

  3. Youโ€™ll receive confirmation by email with the new submission deadline and your updated form.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Keep in mind: Not all experiences offer Secondary Orders - see below the list of exclusions. If yours does not, you may still be able to add late participants as BYO (Bring Your Own) attendees, depending on the event.

โ˜‘๏ธ Secondary Order Eligibility

Below is a list of experiences that cannot accommodate a secondary order:

These offerings cannot accommodate Secondary Orders because of the timelines for customizing or sourcing additional materials needed for our vendors.

๐Ÿ’ก Helpful Tips

  • Plan Ahead: Encourage your team to submit addresses early to avoid last-minute stress.

  • Communicate Clearly: Let participants in a Secondary Order know that delivery by the event date is not guaranteed.

  • Consider BYO: If a kit canโ€™t be shipped in time, some experiences allow attendees to join BYO-style with their own supplies. Let us know if you'd like to add some participants BYO-style!
