After You Book with Confetti ✨
Booking your event is just the beginning! Here’s everything you can expect post-booking to ensure your event runs smoothly, your guests are engaged, and your host is fully prepared.
General Post-Booking Steps You May Encounter:
💳 Payment Receipt – After you complete payment for your event, you'll automatically receive a receipt via email. This will include the event name, payment amount, and billing details for your records.
📝 Event Briefing – All planners will receive a briefing document to review and sign. This includes your Zoom link, customizations, and an optional section to provide group context for your host.
📩 Invitation Page – Found in the briefing, this is what you’ll send to your guests to invite them to the event. Confetti does not invite your guests on your behalf!
📬 Participant Submission Forms – For some experiences (such as Guess Who or other customized activities), participants will be asked to answer questions in advance to help curate your experience. Not required for all events.
🏠 Address Collection Forms – If your event includes a shipped kit, we’ll collect mailing addresses from your participants through a secure form. Only applicable for shipped-kit experiences.
📧 Pre-Event Email – Two business days before your event, we’ll send you a final email with everything you need for event day so you have it handy.
We like to help keep your booking on track and easy to manage, here's a few ways we do that!
🤝 Add Collaborators – You can invite coworkers to help plan and manage your event.
⏰ Deadline Reminders – If you’re collecting addresses or information, we’ll remind you of upcoming deadlines so no one is left out.
📝 Event Briefing Reminders: We'll send you a few reminders if you haven't signed off on your briefing after we send it your way.
🧾 Final Payment Adjustments – If your participant count increases, we’ll prompt you for any payment differences.
Event Briefings 📝
What is the Event Briefing?
Your Event Briefing is the central planning document for your Confetti event. It’s where you (and any collaborators you’ve invited) can confirm your event details, share group info, and make sure everything is aligned before the big day.
Why is it Important?
Host Prep: Everything your host needs to know comes from this —from event timing to participant quirks. More on this below in "Fill in Context for Your Host".
Accurate Customizations: Any add-ons, themes, or other choices you made when booking are reflected here for double-checking.
Smooth Day-Of Experience: If the briefing isn’t signed before your event, we can't guarantee the success of your event. That’s why we automatically follow up if it’s not signed.
Collaborate: Add teammates who should help plan or review via the “Add Collaborators” button.
Using the Invitation Page 📩
Within your Event Briefing, you'll find a dedicated "Invitation" page. This is where you can grab the information you need to share your event with your participants.
Event Access Info: The invitation page includes your Zoom link and event title, so your guests know exactly where to go and what to expect.
Easy Sharing: You can copy and paste this page content directly into your calendar invite, Slack message, or internal announcement.
Planner Responsibility: Confetti does not invite your participants for you—so it's important to use this page to ensure everyone gets the details they need to join your event.
Meeting Link: The 'Join Meeting' button only becomes active in the 30 minutes leading up to your event!
Your Responsibility
Review: Double-check all event information, carefully reviewing each page as you click through, especially if this is your first briefing!
The Policies page in particular has lots of important information, and we do update this from time to time, so check this every time you read through a briefing!
Fill in Context for Your Host: There is an optional section in the briefing at the bottom of the "Experience Overview" page labeled "Context for Your Host" where you can share helpful insights about your group—like if they’re new hires, remote-first, or celebrating something special. This is your chance to give your host a feel for your team’s vibe, and we highly recommend filling it out!
This is not the section to include requests out for your booking, but rather information about the group attending. If you have requests about your booking, please reach out to us!
Invitation: Your briefing contains an invitation page you can send to your participants. Confetti doesn't contact your participants directly to invite them, so you must do this!
Sign Off: Sign off on the final page of your briefing to let us know you've reviewed and understand the contents.
Participant Information Collection 📬
Many events need info from your participants so we can personalize or prepare materials. Here’s what to expect:
Types of Forms You May Encounter:
Submission Forms – For some experiences, we need information from your participants to make the content for your event.
Address Collection Forms – For events with shipped kits, we’ll need delivery info from each participant.
Deadlines Matter!
Each experience has its own deadline for submitting participant information.
Missing the deadline may mean your participants aren’t included in the experience materials or kit shipment.
If you need more time, let us know—we may be able to extend your form deadline (but it’s not guaranteed!).
Special Notes on Form Management 🧑🤝🧑
Add Participants: You don’t need to manually update your headcount as people submit to an Address Submission Collection form. We’ll prompt you for any additional payment based on final form submissions.
Cap Submissions: Want to limit how many people can sign up? Just let us know—we can cap the form for you.
Adjust the Form: Simple edits might be possible! Let us know what you're hoping to adjust and we’ll do our best.
Late Additions: In some cases, we can add last-minute attendees as non-participating audience members or allow them to join “BYO-style” if a kit isn’t available.
After Your Briefing is Signed ✅
Signing your briefing is super important! Once this is done, we know you're set to go with your invitation and Zoom information. If you're still in the process of collecting any participant information (for address collection in order to ship kits, for example) continue on with that process, we'll keep you posted via email, too.
Otherwise, we'll send a pre-event email two business days before your event with all the final details to keep those handy for you.
