Wekudo Tech, Inc. d/b/a “Confetti”, and any wholly-owned subsidiary (“we”, “our”, “us” or, “Confetti’), and certain third parties, use cookies and other similar technologies such as pixels and local storage, (collectively “Tracking Technologies”) when you use our platform (available at www.withconfetti.com) (the “Platform”). These Tracking Technologies may be stored on your device or browser and may gain access to information stored on your device; they may also be used to collect your personal data. This policy tells you more about Tracking Technologies and how we use them on our Platform, and supplements the information provided in our privacy policy available here.

You can change your settings for Tracking Technologies we use in our Platform at any time in our preference centre by clicking “your privacy choices” on the footer of each page on the Platform.

We may change this policy from time to time, in which case we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Cookies Policy. Such change will be effective ten (10) days following posting of the revised Cookie Policy on the Platform, and your continued use of the Platform hereafter means that you accept those changes.

1. What TYPE OF Tracking Technologies ARE USED on the PLATFORM?

We and our third party partners deploy the following Tracking Technologies when you use our Platform, including but limited to:

  • Cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on and uniquely identify your browser or device. Cookies improve your user experience, for example, by enabling our Platform to recognize you when you re-visit, remember your preferences, and provide you with the ability to use customized features. Cookies are also used to make websites work in an efficient way and to ensure adverts you see online are relevant to you and your interests. You can find more information about cookies at www.allaboutcookies.org.

  • Pixels. Pixels are small portions of code that we use as part of our Platform. We use pixels to learn whether you have clicked on certain web content.

  • Local storage. We also use local storage to store data on your device such as the last time you visited a webpage.

Tracking Technologies can remain on your device for different periods of time. Some exist only while your browser is open, and are deleted automatically once you close your browser. Others are “permanent”, meaning that they survive after your browser is closed. They can be used to recognize your device when you open your browser and browse the internet again.

2. How do we use Tracking Technologies?

We use first party and third party Tracking Technologies. First party Tracking Technologies are set directly by us whereas third party Tracking Technologies are set by a third party (such as analytics providers or our advertiser and business partners).

We use Tracking Technologies that perform the following functions:

  • Necessary Tracking Technologies, which are essential to the functioning of our Platform, to provide a service requested by you or to comply with the law (e.g. the security requirements of data protection law). We do not need to obtain your consent in order to use these Tracking Technologies and these Tracking Technologies cannot be turned off as we cannot provide the Platform without them.

  • Functional Tracking Technologies, which allow us to remember choices you make and provide enhanced and personalized features on the Platform.

  • Analytics Tracking Technologies, which enable us to collect information about your online activity (e.g. the duration of your use of the Platform), including behavioral data and content engagement. They allow us to provide you with a better user experience and to maintain, operate and continually improve the Platform.

  • Advertising Tracking Technologies, which we use to deliver a more personalized service, enable us to execute advertising campaigns and show you ads that are relevant to you as well as measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. They are usually placed by our advertisers (for example advertising networks) and provide insights about the people who see and interact with their ads, visit their websites or use their app. A guide to behavioral advertising and online privacy has been produced by the internet advertising industry which can be found at: http://www.youronlinechoices.eu - specially but not limited to:

    • We use Google Analytics to collect information about how you use the Platform, such as how often you visit the Platform, which pages you view, and what other websites led you here. This information helps us maintain and improve our Platform. Google’s use of this information is governed by the Google Analytics Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. To opt out of tracking by Google Analytics, click here.

    • We use marketing pixels, including Facebook’s pixels, to target ads and measure their effectiveness. Third parties, including Facebook, may use cookies and similar technologies to collect data from our Platform and elsewhere on the internet to deliver and target ads. Facebook’s use of this data is governed by their Tools Terms. To opt out from ad targeting, please visit About Ads or Your Online Privacy Choices.

For a detailed list of the types of Tracking Technologies we and our partners use in connection with the Platform, and the purposes for which we use them - please refer to “your privacy choices” on the footer of the Platform, followed by clicking on “Cookie Declaration”.

3. Changing your settings

We use Tracking Technologies when providing our Platform to make sure you benefit from the best experience. Some of these Tracking Technologies are essential and we can’t provide our Platform without them. Others are not essential, and you can turn them off and have the right to choose whether or not to accept them. However, if you choose to refuse Tracking Technologies you may not be able to use the full functionalities of our Platform.

You can change your settings for the Tracking Technologies we use in our Platform at any time in our preference centre from the footer of each page on the Platform.

In addition to our preference centre, most browsers allow you to change your settings so that you can:

  • See what Tracking Technologies are used on your device and/or browser and delete all non-essential Tracking Technologies on a collective basis

  • Block Tracking Technologies, including from particular websites/apps

  • Block all Tracking Technologies from being set

  • Delete all Tracking Technologies when you close your browser (although this means that any preference settings you have made on our Platform may be lost)

For more information on how to manage your browser settings, please see below:

If you disable one or more Tracking Technologies, we will still use the information collected via these Tracking Technologies prior to your disabled preference being set; however, we will stop using the disabled Tracking Technologies to collect any further information.

How to opt out of online ads

You have the option to opt out of seeing targeted online ads from us by visiting www.youronlinechoices.com. Please note that this list will contain more networks than those used on our Platform. Alternatively, you can opt out of certain advertising Tracking Technologies by visiting our preference center (see link and details above). Please note that neither of these options mean that you will see less advertising when you use our Platform, the only effect is that the advertising will be less relevant to you.
