Position Details

Bring the Confetti Community Together Online!

We're looking for a Community & Social Media Manager with a passion for bringing people together online. In this position, you’ll be developing and managing our social media presence and interacting with current and potential customers, vendors, and other brands to spark conversations around our event offerings and generate future business opportunities.

If you’re a skilled social media manager with experience developing a brand’s voice, a proven track record for putting together fun, creative promotions, and a knack for forging relationships with other people and companies, this is the position for you!

We Are

Product Led - As a managed marketplace for employee experiences, we put the user-experience of our platform at the top of our priority list. We believe (and have significant evidence) that a great platform sells itself, and always prefer investing in the platform & marketing automation as scalable sales channels.

Data Driven - We heavily utilize analytics to measure the usage of every feature we release, and use hard evidence when making decisions regarding what’s next (you’ll never have to build something just because sales/investors asked for it).

Corporate Consumer Facing - By selling directly to any employee that holds a company credit card, Confetti enjoys the benefits of B2C companies (low-touch onboarding, no sales or corporate approvals needed, etc.) and those of B2B companies (high recurring budgets, high willingness-to-pay, low pricing sensitivity).

Transparent - While this word has been circulating quite a lot lately, it’s rarely implemented to its fullest. Our team is exposed to EVERYTHING happening at the company, in real time - from sales to fundraising, hiring, product and really anything else. We believe that each team member should be a co-author of our story, not a supporting actor.

Feedback Driven - We are strong believers in constantly sourcing and providing feedback on all fronts. The only way for us to improve ourselves, our products, our service and our processes is by accepting and  acting on the feedback we receive.

You Have

1-3 years’ experience managing a brand’s social media accounts.

1-3 years’ experience in marketing, events, tech, and startups. <co-plus>Plus<co-plus>

Additional experience in e-mail marketing, SEO, PPC advertising, social media ads, and grassroots marketing and promotion. <co-adv>Advantage<co-adv>

Graphic design or illustration experience. <co-adv>Advantage<co-adv>

A tendency to geek out over social media trends, coupled with a genuine passion for learning and growing in the area of social media management. We’re willing to pay for social media courses and certifications for the right person to continue developing their skills and stay on top of the latest practices!

Excellent computer skills, including but not limited to an innate understanding of Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Sheets, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Canva, and more. Additional experience with TikTok, Clubhouse, videoconferencing programs and organizational, database, and task management platforms.  <co-plus>Plus<co-plus>

A promotional mindset. We need someone who’s familiar with our brand and passionate about our mission, who can go out into the world to advocate on our behalf and connect the dots with other businesses we’d like to be aligned with!

Willingness to connect with people & network on a "face-to-face" basis. We’d love to see this person leading groups of others in doing fun, creative things like workshops, games, and other small gatherings, virtually for now but in person possibly in the future!

Superb communication and relationship building abilities. This person should be personable and friendly, care about other people’s happiness and satisfaction, and possess excellent problem-solving abilities and a knack for diplomacy.

You'll Be

Creating, developing, and/or managing Confetti’s social media accounts, including but not limited to: Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

Developing and maintaining a fun, exciting, and upbeat brand voice, which clearly communicates what Confetti is about and what our event offerings are. In this position, you’ll be working closely with the Product & Content team and the Head of Marketing to ensure that Confetti’s brand voice is consistent across all marketing channels: website content, e-mail, and social media.

Developing strategies for strengthening social media presence and increasing engagement. This includes but is not limited to pre-scheduling posts, creating social media content calendars, utilizing appropriate hashtags, interacting with followers, liking similar brands’ posts, reaching out to other accounts regarding cross-promotional opportunities, etc.

Planning and executing creative and exciting social media campaigns that can be tied in with Confetti’s current event offerings. The Confetti website features a ton of specially curated collections for everything from Employee Birthdays to Mardi Gras to International Women’s Day -- there is a truly unlimited amount of inspiration for social media content!

Evaluating and tracking results to develop “best practices” for social media. Which social media platforms are the most useful for our brand? What are the best times to post? Which types of posts get the most interest and engagement? Who are our top fans? Which brands are most receptive to working with us?

Identifying, approaching, and converting potential clients, vendors, and promotional partners. In this position, you will be responsible for researching new business opportunities, conducting initial outreach, sparking the contact’s interest, and passing contacts off to Account Management or Vendor Relations for follow-up.

Taking feedback from social media users and communicate operational inefficiencies and product suggestions to management and tech team. For example: New features, features changes that would improve the overall readability and understandability of the content, UX adjustment, etc.

Proactively communicating opportunities for improvement within the company -- we are constantly changing and evolving, and as a member of our startup, your creativity will impact the long-term success of the organization!
